The little dog enthusiastically licked Khardeen's hand and happily allowed himself to be carried. Some of the goats ran up and followed at khary's heels, giving off soft bleats of curiosity. And then some sheep came along too, baaahing their approval. The shepherds watched, grinning.

"You seem to have a fan club," said Curufin, smiling. He ran up and followed too. He didn't feel obligated to turn around and go back until he was positive the people and the animals were all going to go along with Khary. At least that was what he told himself.
