It seemed to be working and so Taiki didn't loosen his hug, letting Inigo take whatever comfort he needed.
It felt good to hug someone as well, it didn't diminish the darkness that lay over him with Gyousou's absence but it felt good, comforting, friendly.
"Oh... thank you."
That was good, good that he had not forgotten how to bring comfort with a hug.
