"Maybe you could be feeding orphans to spite someone else. Or working with heroes to ultimately betray them. You read it in books." She laughs, self consciously, and turns away.

"Well you're probably right, you couldn't get away with it. And I certainly couldn't live like that. There's nothing wrong with being soft or kind."
