Xion had been looking for her friends during combat, but in the brief breaks between she had been gathering shells. So she had been leaned over to pick one up as she heard someone scream that they had a problem. She shoved the shell into her pocket as she rushed towards the person yelling. In her other hand a comically large key appeared with a flash of light. She saw, as she ran, that whoever it was was backing the monster off with a torch. She could have used a fire spell, but they were exhausting her, which meant that it might be putting Roxas in danger when she used them. So rather than rely on her magic she charged in, moving the Keyblade to a two handed grip as she brought it across the monster's side as if it were an actual sword. It mostly was just a surprisingly effective blunt force weapon to things that weren't heartless, given she wasn't channeling power through it at the moment.

But given how the weapon looked and how tiny she looked, it was still impressive. She was used to fighting monsters back home, and sometimes she didn't even have her Keyblade, just a stick. So as exhausted as she was becoming, she could do this. What she wasn't counting on, was the other person helping. She didn't expect it. She expected him to leave, possibly dropping the torch...

Xion was tiny, but she was also nimble. Her long black coat flapped as she dodged and rolled and lined herself up for a second charge. Her heeled boots found traction in the sand, and her black hood - up to conceal all but the point of her chin - didn't actually seem to impair her ability to see what she was doing.

The only real nod to her being from the train at all was a makeshift blue sash around her waist that was stained and somewhat ratty from the fighting she'd already been doing.
