Gyousou had been purposefully staying away from the village edges where he was of more risk of running into Taiki, a necessity with a bloodied sword and a nasty gash along one leg where a hulking crawfish-like thing had caught him. So, seeing him on the beach was a nasty surprise, as was the creature menacing him and his companion.

"Lead it over here," he waved his own torch as he called out, then thrust it down into the sand and stepped away as not to have the monster swerve away from it inland.
