"Doesn't give us anything to fight with either, does it?"
Tidus wouldn't think it's him being smart: just lucky, perhaps. Conversations in the week that he's been around, listening to the network about training people, compiling scarce resources; the way so many are left in the dark, the frustrated venting he listened to from Lightning.
He lets out a heavy sigh, picking up his sword to stop it leaving a trail in the sand.
"It sounds like there's a reason behind the teams and who goes where, but..." What does he want to say? Tidus rolls his free hand, circling it as he tries to gather his thoughts. "It's like...a sports team! You need to balance your team! It doesn't matter if you have ten great shooters if you don't have anyone to protect your goal. You need to mix it up, you know? Put people where they're second best, even out your team!"
Does that make any sense to Inigo? It might not matter as Tidus continues on, even putting some speed into his step as he decides to take a lead, all so he can face Inigo as he walks backwards.
"We don't know how many priests there were, but didn't protecting an island sound like more work? More people who need protecting?" Head dipping, Tidus shakes it. "It...it didn't sit right with me. I don't care what a train thinks. I just know what my gut tells me."

He has to think he made the right choice.
He has to hope he did.
