"Was that temple you visited - or the one Red Team was assigned to clear out - the source of spiritual power for this entire planet, or just this center of thinking beings? If there's consequences we're not seeing, how would we know they were tied to the problem here, too?"

And - the thought she'd had since conversing with the native teens of this world but kept pushing away - what if there were more of those corrupting beings? Would the locals have a better time defending against them, or would the Voidtreckers be coming back here in the future?
