That did make him happy. She had been so excited for a mission where she would feel less like a hindrance and more an active member, doing her part to defend the people and fight the bad guys. Maru was very happy that he was able to give her that. He just wished he had been able to do it fully the way she had wanted, with her weapon in hand.
