Neither would Curufin. When he was a disembodied spirit, he went a number of times to Lindon to see what sort of country the young King of the Noldor was creating. He only saw him from a distance, but Gil-galad did have that look, an energetic person with a powerful will and imagination. Glorfindel told Curufin that Gil-galad had said once that he felt that Curufin was watching over him, so add to the list a powerful ability to sense the unknown. That sort of person, again, tends to be a bit wild in childhood.
