Gladio rolled his eyes. "Didn't think I'd have to ask. I'm the picture of misery. Only thing missing was the dark cloud raining on my parade." While there was obvious teasing in his tone, it was still tinged with truth. His thoughts had turned him down a path of sadness and he really and truly wanted to turn off of it. He'd been down that road already and it had been a struggle and a half to find his way back. But he'd managed. The others had helped him in the end. And he'd learned a valuable lesson. Gladio couldn't take for granted that people would just automatically know what he needed, they weren't mind readers. He needed to speak up. So speak up he did. And Ignis actually came through for him. Gladio had half imagined his advisor would brush him off or something. It was something of a relief he hadn't.
He smiled for Ignis and leaned a little against him. "But thanks. Know it's a dumb ask but... I guess there are things I shouldn't be thinking about." Another lesson leaned. Home was a topic he needed to avoid from now on.
