She listens, her face never faltering from a polite interest as he speaks. Even when he spoke about not serving a god who wanted only to destroy, that he would not work one who caused evil and chaos.

He had that right, not to offer worship to a god whose aims went against his own. She knows she can't exactly refuse to offer prayers to gods whose aims do not align with her own. It would be too suspicious and now he was offering her dust.

She still has no answer, but she is many worlds away from her own and she is treading on another gods ground. He is right in that, it would be rude not to offer prayer.

She took some of the dust and sat on the ground crossed legged, holding the dust in open palms rested on her knees. She closed her eyes and tilted her face to the setting sun.

She first prayer was not to the gods of this world but a silent prayer to her own patron. The traditional forgiveness before giving false worship. Usually false worship to the five light gods of her world, a worship necessary for survival.

She figures the same prayer will work here. It is quick, meant to be easy and discrete and then she opens her eyes and studies the dust.

She doesn't know how to write a prayer, that's not how prayers are in her world. But she doesn't want to waste it. A moment later she has an idea and kneels, beginning to draw a symbol on the ground.

"We do be having five gods in my world. This do be being the sign of the Explorer. I do be thinking they would be being the one who would be wanting to be offering greetings to gods from a whole different world so we can be doing their bidding today and be offering praise in their name."
