She followed his teachings and despite the waves and her absolute exhaustion from the mission and the time already in the water she managed to get to a point where she could move in the water and keep her head above it.

It might not count as proper swimming yet but it is a start and she is quite happy with it.

Also exhausted, by the time they return to the beach she feels like she could eat an entire army of crabs and then sleep for a whole month.
