"But I'm still an adult, right?" It's a little flustered, exasperated. But being considered a child isn't in his inventory of compliments. (Look, Kuro picked on him for it all the time, and the human was definitely younger than Daia is.)
"I can still try one," he bursts out, excited to try the thing. Just because it won't do anything for his appetite doesn't mean he can't enjoy the flavours.
Daia listens carefully to story time. And... he has so many questions?
"A world can be born of a song? ...What's a Hobbit?"
He'd heard of Dwarves and Elves in mythology back home, although they presumably lived in his world instead of some other world entirely. But if Elves came from another world, that would certainly make more sense - arrive and disappear just as easily.
