adregem: (an inkling of a plan.)

Roland actually breaks into an amused smile, watching him try to be graceful about the whole task. "Give it here." He asks for the paper towels to be handed to him, but really, there's not much else to clean when he bends down to check his leg. The injury wouldn't be a problem now, pain dissolving with the light from Tidus' hand.

"Well now...Would you look at that?" With eyes slowly widening, he flexes his left calf, moving it from left to right and stretching it by the ball of his foot, extending the muscle to see if everything was really fixed. The wonders of magic would never cease to amaze him.

When Tidus moves, so does he. The discarded paper towels are set aside so as not to be wasteful, and he bends over to grab his boot from under the table. The bloody sock that soaked in most of the initial drench is also quickly removed with pinched fingers and a grimace, rolled up inside-out and also pocketed for him to throw out later on. It was beyond saving. The boot is placed back unto his left foot and aside from how disheveled both men looked, it was almost as if they just rolled around in dirt and not much else.

"Cheeky." He quips dryly, folding his arms up again. He thinks about what to say next, about how he's going to say it. He looks away for a moment as Tidus chides him, a strange turn of events when it's usually the other way around for Roland, before he speaks.

"...Risk and reward. Have you ever had to weigh a decision based on those two?"
