They could wait to see if Saku comes out himself as the doors begin to open, Tidus watching and wondering, the gathering swarm of bodies making sticking back the more reasonable action to choose.

But waiting means patience, and who has time for that? Him or Taiki, who's been so miserable without Saku around. It's enough of a reason that when the doors finally slide back, Tidus takes a hold of one of Taiki's hands and tugs him with a sudden call and urgency, pushing on through as Taiki's meatshield so he doesn't have to. Would he, even?

"Sorry, emergency, coming through! This is important--outta the way, we gotta get in quick!"

Please be sad about disappointed about his lies and semi-use of force at a later date, Taiki. There's a king to get to.
