flatteries: (an optimist about this)

Gerome's little nod is killing Inigo while he's still in his worrying overdrive state. Is that a yes? Or is he just being dismissed since Gerome doesn't want any of his fussing? Usually he's a little better at assuming the best of Gerome even when the other doesn't use too many words, but right now he can't be so sure.

Not that he has long to ponder it. Inigo can feel Tidus near-slipping from his arms, and he immediately secures his hold on the other to keep him from dropping to the ground entirely. Thankfully holding him up isn't impossible for Inigo, since he does have quite a bit of muscle, but Inigo knows he can't linger here. He has to take the other to bed as quickly as possible.

So he just does what he always does. If there's anything remotely negative he's feeling, he sweeps it right under the carpet as quickly as possible. Inigo smiles at Gerome before turning to help Tidus out of the cabin, starting down the hall back in the direction of Tidus' room.

".. Sorry."

Though Inigo figures he could probably get away with showing a bit more emotion now Tidus is clearly so exhausted and probably wouldn't be able to tell as easily when Inigo is slipping, he's still making sure to say that 'sorry' with a smile on his face. Despite the guilt he feels at having caused Tidus to look this tired.

"I really should have asked how you were doing before dragging you over to make you work, huh?"
