Colden was (reluctantly) ready to head out when something happened. He paused mid-step, eyes losing focus. As quickly as it had come, it was gone, and he shook himself as he frowned. He didn't know what'd happened to him, what he'd just seen, felt, but he didn't like it.
B. Exploration
Though he'd grabbed a pair of swim trunks, he wasn't immediately jumping into a hot spring or the ocean. Instead, he was exploring, hiking through the forest and poking around in the ruins. He didn't know what he was looking for, exactly, but he wasn't finding it. Maybe it was a way out, or something 'off' or anything...out of the ordinary. But everything was out of the ordinary here, considering the color of the sky and the volcano that definitely wasn't oozing lava.
Being out of the train was a good feeling though. Fresh air was nice, room to stretch. It wasn't as nice as being home, but it was something. If nothing else, he'd have one hell of a story to tell Taos when he got back, and he was assuming he was going to get back at some point, because the alternative was unacceptable.
The downside to getting caught up in his thoughts was he didn't immediately realize it when a stone he stepped on was loose. His foot slipped and when he tried to catch himself he ended up sliding down the small slope, almost tumbling, and only stopped when he smacked into part of the ruins.
"Graceful," he muttered to himself, brushing the dirt off his hands and legs and hoping no one had been around to see.
C. Hot Springs
After spending most of his day wandering around exploring, he finally approached the hot springs, toeing off his shoes. He'd never seen one in person in his entire life, and he hesitated before ditching his shirt on top of his shoes.
Cautiously stepping into the water, he wiggled his toes. It was nice, like when the sun warmed the water of the public pool in summer, but better. Sliding in deeper, he leaned back and tentatively allowed himself to relax. It still felt weird, relaxing and having a good time after being kidnapped, but refusing to participate wouldn't spite anyone but himself, he figured.
