It's almost funny. Earlier Inigo was whining to Tidus about being his personal mule, but this time he just takes the jar as if he's accepted his holding duty. In fact, when Taiki offers to help, Inigo is quick to pipe up: "No, no, it's fine. I can hold them. I'm a strong guy!"

Taiki's job is clearly just to be here and be adorable. And be the soothing factor to prevent the usual chaos that happens whenever Inigo and Tidus interact one on one.
