flatteries: (the questionnaire never changes)

"It was.." Inigo softly answers.

Deep down he knows Tidus is probably right. It's not as if Gerome didn't go through something super traumatic only right before getting back to the train and getting healed by Tidus. Maybe it is these new surroundings that caused it, coupled with that rockslide.. Maybe Inigo was just a little too desperate to make sense of something that doesn't make sense.

He slowly releases a breath.

"Sorry. I guess I must still be too worked up from that whole thing with lord Gyousou. It's making me think about strange things.." Inigo shakes his head, shifting a little. "I'm not saying there's anything wrong with your magic. Or anything with you, or-- ugh!"

Inigo suddenly moves to sit up straight, dragging his hands down his face, like he's trying to get himself and his dumb, dumb thoughts back in line.

"I should just have said what I originally wanted to say! Which is--" He pokes Tidus's chest. "It doesn't matter who or what people tried to compare you to, because you're great the way you are."

Which is probably something Tidus knows - and much better than Inigo knows about himself - but he figures it can't hurt to reiterate it.

"No one should be expected to live up to a famous father. That's so dumb." (Yeah, okay, Inigo, have you tried looking into a mirror lately?)
