Tidus is so calling him out. Inigo wouldn't even have to look at Tidus's face to know as much, even just the tone of his voice is enough. This is a direct call out, and Inigo is so not here for it. Mostly because it's so true. Inigo really doesn't think he could even reach up to his sister's ankles as far as competency goes.
Though he doesn't really seem upset - not in the way he did earlier, anyway, when he first approached Tidus - Inigo still frowns and looks away for a moment, absent-mindedly rubbing his nose.
"I'm not thinking it, it's just true," he says, still looking away.
It's hard to tell how much thought Inigo puts in what he says next as he continues. It sounds like he's just talking on without a single thought about it, but at the same time it's not something he'd admit to just anyone.
But for all his callouts, and dumb grins, and occassional teasing, Tidus does feel relatively safe enough at this point.
