please don't laugh

Tidus laughs, short enough to be a chuckle, but it's brighter, far more affectionate. He squeezes his embrace around Inigo and rubs a hand in a circular motion against his back, soothing him as he hears the tears in Inigo's broken voice.

"Well if you can say all that about me, how about doing yourself the same favours, huh? Me, I never had to go out there and fight all day and night. My life was easy for the longest time -- Zanarkand was safe, I didn't know what hardship was really like. Losing most of your family, living the way that you did..."

It was Spira all over, a struggle he never understood. A struggle he got to be oblivious to while the rest of the world suffered more than a man who didn't quite know how to be a father, a mother so in love with her husband, she sometimes forgot to look her son's way.

Even if it hurt, was hard to carry that grief and his emotions, it couldn't compare to reality. The life outside of Spira. The life that Inigo had to survive, too.

"We all have things about ourselves we don't like, and it's easy to get down on ourselves. But you're a good friend, Inigo, and a good person to your world. I know you are!"
