It seemed a crazy story but not so much more crazy than a train full of kidnapped people traveling from world to world to help prevent disasters. It was hard to imagine though. But he had her memory and emotions to lend realism to it. To know it was truth.

That didn't make it comforting. It made him frown.

"I see what you mean," he responded. His own memory wiped from him it wasn't hard to except that someone else had experienced the same. The fact that it was repeated every time they failed their mission... that was worse. That was horrible. He didn't like it.

"Did you ever escape?" Or was this the escape? Being here on the train? Was it a luxury for Lightning rather than a worse prison? He followed up with another question. "But you remember things now?" He wasn't actually certain if that was the case or not.
