Inigo doesn't say anything in return to Tidus's first remark, but the way his expression drops a little says enough by itself. It's not offense, nor sadness over Tidus thinking that - it's just agreement. Inigo can imagine how awful it must have been in that position. He has the mark, and he's already insecure enough about himself even with it.
"My sister is a rare case. She was born with the Brand already in her eye. That usually never happens." He shakes his head, thinking. "It's why everyone always said she was the perfect successor for father, chosen so early by Naga, especially since she grew only more competent and ideal as she grew older."
Judging by his tone, Inigo certainly doesn't disagree with that.
"I didn't have mine at birth, but I got it early on enough that I was too young to be worried about that kind of thing. I'm not sure if mother ever worried about me getting it or not. I never asked her."
