This is a question with an easy answer. Does he let his fans get around him? Sure! Does everyone do that? Probably not. But why wouldn't he let the people who came and watched his games the chance to get up and close to him? Because Tidus enjoyed that admiration, their excitement to see him. It was a lot, admittedly, for a guy who never got that; made him so flustered on the inside, never knowing at first how to deal with it.

But finally, for once in his life, everyone wanted to see him. They were happy to see him, and it wasn't about being the son of the Great Jecht to everyone (well, fifty-fifty), it wasn't about who he was related to. He loved it. He adored it. For the hassle it gave him and the struggles it became sometimes to even get to the stadium, would he ever regret it? Would he ever be embarrassed over how shameless and craving he was for their attention?

...maybe. Sure, maybe even a little now if he were to think about it. But Tidus doesn't even get to do more than open his mouth before Inigo interrupts so unabashedly.
