10billionpercent: (Side Glance)

Senku's honesty could be brutal and incredibly blunt. He might not have admitted he was uncomfortable if Inigo hadn't asked, but since he did, he assumed he wanted the actual answer. Lying to make someone feel better was a nuance he never seemed to pick up. Everything he had told him was true.

None of it precluded his desire to be friends with Inigo, and if he didn't want to respect his boundaries, he wouldn't be the only friend he had that did that.

He blinked at the criticism, responding quickly to it without thinking. "It's true, you aren't."

Senku did not exactly understand the problem with speaking a truth that maybe someone wasn't ready for.

He wasn't going to force Inigo to stay. He still looked confused, certainly, but also resigned that he had completely done something wrong. Senku put his hands behind his head and laid back down to look at the sky some more.

He didn't know why he'd tried, it hadn't helped, it hadn't fixed anything, if anything, it had made it worse. He should've just gotten Gen to fix things in the first place. Although he was looking rather expressionless, he did feel frustrated with his lack of success, and understanding of how to fix things, and he would have to come up with some way to do something before Inigo decided he wasn't worth being friends with.

"Alright," was the only thing Senku said, permitting Inigo to leave unimpeded.
