Well now he really has to put some more effort into it! He hasn't really been feeling all that good since platform day, but he doesn't like the idea of not giving it more than this.

So he hums, a determined sound as he strides on ahead, and they won't have to get very far. It's less of a wave, and more the little critters jumping out, ready to fling themselves at them as they approach. He's poofed his pipe away in a glitter of gold sparkles, and in place...is clenching his fist in the same way he did to conjure the barriers. Except this time, he's causing the water ahead to explode (well, tiny mini-water explosions) with magic.

Good thing for the barriers and keeping the mess off!
