At least the blighted bird is focused on them...?
/... How are these crystals made into a cure? Is it something that can be done on the island?/
If it required processing first, then all Nita could do was hold the shield - maybe reverse it to encapsulate the poor bird itself?
For now, she kept holding it, listening to the bird beside her and the one on the ground.
