Not what Piccolo expected but the magic did its trick and Piccolo knew how to take advantage of it without hesitation. This wasn't like the battles back home. He was getting used to that sort of style of tasks though. So he flew in--the storm buffeted around him, slightly lessened due to Tidus's magical efforts, but it didn't really affect Piccolo with his ki providing a barrier anyway--and went to work.
He attacked the farthermost elementals with quick blasts of ki energy that flew through the air and homed in on their targets. The closest opponents he attacked personally and punched them once, twice, a few more times in one case before he practically broke them and sent their pieces falling towards the ground. Fire would have worked wonders here but Piccolo's strength would have to do. It worked with some effort at least. The hardest part was simply finding and hitting them. Thankfully Tidus's magic made that easier.
Then, almost as if an after thought, Piccolo zipped downwards quickly to catch Tidus before he hit the ground. He grabbed the young man by the wrist and flew back out of the storm even as it died slowly. As he hovered in the air his grip lessened on Tidus's wrist though he kept in touch with Tidus just in case; Tidus didn't fall due to Piccolo keeping him up with telekinesis, causing the boy to hover near the Namekian without having to hold him. Despite this, his focus was on the storm.
"Hard to tell if that was all of them or not... what do you think?" Piccolo continued to try to sense any more elementals but they were hard to pinpoint with his ki sense due to their flighty nature.
