He wonders if he should accept the weapon, when there's not been anything in particular needing a sword that isn't better suited for his magic. But even so, he likes the feel of it, of having it; holding a weapon and actually having the sense he's equipped than being without. So whatever might be more sensible or logical or whatever, Tidus looks at the blade with the tilt of his wrist to turn it into view.

"...Thanks," he ends up saying, and with the pipe going into his other hand, his blitzball already gone, both of the weapons - though the pipe was less weapon, more... object - disappearing into nowhere.

"Do they keep attacking into the night? Or should everything be fine?" A good and easy question to ask and distract from any other subject that might crop up. Ears listening for their surroundings, but nothing standing out.
