The silent trust shared between the two of them is what makes for an unmistakable end to the blighted creature terrorizing the town sewers. As Inigo attacks, so does Roland who goes in for the kill with a thrust of his sword against soft rat flesh, holding the hilt with one hand while his other arm balances the forward motion by hanging back. It almost looks coordinated with the way they move, knowing that whatever targets they missed, the other would more than make up for it. This giant rat was as good as dead the moment it decided to rush Inigo and Roland.
When their blades finish the task, the rat reacts as expected: in shrieking, unbearable pain, falling to the ground as its drained of its life. The blight corrupting it from within seems to dissipate with its death, and the swarm of remaining rats that have been thinned out by the higgledy's fire have all but vanished or retreated, no longer willed into violent existence by the rally of their master. Bambosh joins the two, with six little ones by his side, protecting them in a circle around their feet.
Finally, the task was complete.
Roland heaves a sigh, his sword disappearing into his Arms Band. Immediately, he turns to Inigo with a look of appreciation. "Nice work, partner."
