It might not take it down, but the creature sure seems to feel it. There's a howl as it's still clawing at its face from the flash, and it stumbles - just in time for Moonlight to have cleared the distance between them, boot meeting skull as she delivers a kick to more fully knock it off its balance.

As it goes it tries to swipe at and grab either of them, but its still not seeing well and it mostly just amounts to flailing.
