Sonya felt her expression twitch slightly. She understood Cassie constantly wanting to test herself and show off; how could she not with her parents history. Sonya didn't even mind the official tournaments or competitions (however much her schedule rarely allowed her to see them); fight clubs and MMAs on the other hand were different. They were rarely regulated and the general crowd was over twenty-one; a teenager like Cassie would've already had a target on her back even if it wasn't a Death match.

"What?" She feigned ignorance, attempting humor. "You mean to suggest people have other reasons for being neurotic and need more ways to relax?"

She didn't want to think how her own sleep schedule would be the next two nights. Fatigue and weariness would help this evening, but afterwards, she'd have to find some way to try and hold back possible nightmares.
