He wraps his arms around her. "Then I guess I'd have had to get up off the bar floor and earn my living as a carpenter and join the Adventurers' Guild." He smiles, though he knows this isn't funny to his mother, not at all. "But don't worry, I really do think the train wouldn't leave a passenger on some mission world. That's what the SCA is for, one of its purposes, anyway."
