He means it, after all. That's all he had to hear. Just the promise that Taiki won't let Reno hurt him, if he can help it. And sure, outrunning Reno might be hard, but Inigo is just banking on the idea that hopefully - hopefully - the guy won't bother to cause that kind of chaos on the train to begin with.
