With their invisibility, they weren't entirely free of danger: There were the ice and winds the sprites were throwing at other fighters they can get caught up in by. But Romeo's skills were for the most part doing the trick. They couldn't be seen, so they weren't bothered - and so if they wanted to throw their snowballs at the cage or at the sprites, payback was harder to deposit.
Tidus attempts to go back in big. The winds chilled him through his clothes, the fire burning hot at his front. Trying to keep his balance by getting on his knees, he goes for a not-so-different, but more prolonged spell. Putting his hands on the ground, he concentrates, and brings up a water spell, geysering up from where the spell calls it.
But he keeps it going, doesn't break it. Trying to push more power into the spell so it reaches higher. It lasts a few seconds, but the attempt -- something never done before, the fact he wasn't quite ready for it -- lasts for just a few seconds before his concentration breaks.
It doesn't mean he won't try again. But the sprites are paying attention to him again - and without getting close, a volley of icy shards are being shot at him!
