"Perhaps," she agrees, voice carefully neutral. "I admit, I don't know enough of my father to guess his intentions."
She's not sure he's entirely right; any royal child would have the protection of the Hylian army, their own Sheikah bodyguard, and relatively little personal attention from their busy parents. But who knew, under the circumstances?
"It was a lively place, from what I saw. There were games and sweets aplenty, and the air was full of music." The priorities of a child, of course. She's perfectly well aware.
"It was prosperous, and I expect most of the townsfolk thought it safe as well. And it was, for a time."
