"I'm not sure," she admits, something she doesn't ever like to admit. "The fence will have to be taller than us, for sure. We will also have to make sure there are no overhanging tree branches from which they can lower themselves inside the fenced-in area and get stuck there." Or at least that would be a concern for the permanent fence, not so much for the makeshift one while they were still around to do check-ups. "I wonder if... I'll have to see if there are smells that scare them off, which we could coat the fence with. I do have some willing helpers here on which to test it."
