Nobody truly knows how Siebren retains his powers, least of all Siebren. "It is..." He pauses. He almost doesn't want to say it - it's more than he's admitted to anyone here - but he cannot stand the misinformation, or the idea of rumor spreading. "...the result of an accident," he finally finishes, not looking at her as he speaks, "one that I hope cannot be replicated."
