"The colonies are large satellites in space. They house quite a lot of people and supply lines and production. Some are mainly residential, others almost entirely industrial. My home is L4 because it is at Lagrange Point 4. The original plan was to drop one of these colonies onto the Earth and attack during the inevitable chaos."
