Adam looked--and felt--vaguely horrified. "Why would you kick it?" he asked. For one, they were pretty big and he wouldn't want to risk making one angry. For another thing, they were just animals and didn't deserve to be mistreated. Not unless they were hostile and it was necessary for self-defense.
