[ That display of magic leaves him in mild awe, but it's more of a reminder that indeed, Roland as a regular 'ol human...probably couldn't do that even if he studied a thousand years for it. Not that he's talking defeatist, but he's always been candid about who has what talents. He has his, and others have theirs, and that makes for a diverse range of life, doesn't it?

Though factoring in that Roland's soul is literally shared with another - one who can use magic adeptly - is something he doesn't know how to answer right now. Would it have given him some shared ability? Is that why darkness is the only elemental his melee skills could harness in a fight? ]

"W-Whoa. That's...incredible."

[ He's definitely more visibly intrigued at the mop handle turned scythe. Now that, he feels like, he could do. The 'Flatliner' and 'Circular Sword' moves that are imbued in his weapons and his arms bands utilize similar extensions of power already. This, he's more confident in. Roland nods, determination seeping out of every pore, and summons the best weapon for such a demonstration: his pistol. Roland walks a little ways away, but not far enough such that he can't answer Sakura. ]

"Hm. I guess it's gotta be just dark for me, then. I can only use fire magic with my sword and gun when I absorb the fire spires that follow me. Looks like I'm just borrowing from their strength."

[ He takes aim and feels the arms band tingle with the remembrance of the move in question. Glances to the side, making sure Sakura is watching, and then back to the front so that he knows he's not hitting any collateral damage. ]

[ Roland fires and darkness envelops a few feet away, creating a sphere that's mean to bring enemies down to their knees as if gravity itself is pulling them to the surface. 'Heavy Ammo.' ]
