Wormmon is taking stock of his situation, and it's not great. He's not hurt, but he's dizzy, and what's more, he's worn out. He's been pushing himself to stay Wormmon so that he can be more helpful, but he's reaching his limit....

So as they head back to continue their investigation, Wormmon begins to glow.
