[ He knows he has to find something to do. Inigo at least knows his mind well enough to know when it's about to plunge him into an abyss of self loathing, and he can't have that happen. Not in the middle of a mission - not again, anyway.
He has half a mind to just go out and see if he can't already get started on some of the stuff they're supposed to do - but he did say he was going to be around. What if Tidus comes looking for him and he's nowhere to be found? Inigo doesn't want to do that to the other.
But it's hard to think of what he can do in the camp. Inigo makes sure to set up his tent, but quickly runs out of productive things he can think of doing after that.
So he just sits down in front of said tent. Spotting some colourful flowers nearby, Inigo picks a few of them to start tying them together into a string, maybe planning on making a bracelet out of them or something. Just some idle busywork to keep his hands occupied in the hope that it'll keep his brain occupied too.
And yet, even as he's working on that, he can't help but think of the way Tidus looked earlier. It felt awful, knowing he was the cause of that, that Tidus looked completely fine only a few moments before it. Once Tidus comes back to tell him 'no' - because Inigo already knows that's how this will end - he'll have to make sure to apologize to him for it. To reassure him that it really is fine. If Inigo can't quite cheer himself up, only put up a cheery front, then the least he can do is at least try to straighten out his mistake and cheer up Tidus.
So he waits like that. And while he does spot Tidus sooner or later, Inigo doesn't really look or speak up until he's sure the other is headed towards him - not wanting to make him uncomfortable or forcing him into an earlier conversation with him than Tidus wants. ]
Hey, Tidus. [ Inigo tries his darnest best to smile as if nothing is up. ]
