He holds up one finger then crosses another over it in an X. "That's how the tent poles should look once we have both sets in."
He screws the first set together and while she's holding the sleeve, slides the pole into the sleeve, "We follow the straight line," Galo reaches the next one and pokes it with the pole. "So it goes line this! I'll do this whole line so you can see."
He takes his time with it, making sure she can see as the tent starts to take that domed shape. He stands up, holding it up with his fingers in the sleeve at the very top. Then he grins. "I screwed the other set together. Up to putting the other pole through the other set?" Galo points to the set of sleeves that don't have a pole through them. It's easy to see how it should go.
