His icy exterior melted some as he nodded in agreement. "Yeah. Let them have fun for a change. The rest of us can handle the heavy lifting."

Which, for Piccolo, wasn't entirely not fun either. He could fix things but what was really fun was the fighting robots part. He could do that all day. He didn't really need the excuse of protecting others for that but it did keep him on track rather than just getting distracted by the fighting altogether.
