It's like watching a train coming down the tracks your foot is stuck on because you were caught playing around at night where you shouldn't be and now the headlights are bearing down on you--that was Piccolo as Madoka approached him with those big, round eyes. He knew something was coming but he didn't know what. He was only thankful he knew how to keep a straight face.

...he wasn't sure whether to be thankful or annoyed by the question she threw at him though. It was certainly innocent enough so no big deal; but then again it was ridiculous enough that he was kinda irritated she was asking him.

Except that it was Madoka and he didn't know how to stay annoyed at her. (If it had been any of the boys back home he would have shouted at them for bothering him and told them to knock it off. Then again, they would have had an even more worrisome question or way of annoying him than a silly question about animals. Probably.)

Piccolo glanced at the roaming alpaca-like creatures and back to Madoka. He raised a brow line. "I don't know, can you?" Dear Kami in his head he even sounded like a parent these days. Sarcastic responses to children's question and all now. "They seem to be easily spooked but I don't see why not. You have hands. They have fur. Pet away."

Please don't...ask him to catch one. Oh, dear Kami, that's probably why she was asking him, wasn't it. She wanted help getting close to one. Well, carp.
