He just crosses his arms and smirks -- that is until he feels something start to curl around his ankle.

"What the-?" He tries to lift his foot away from the suddenly rampant growth, but it's too late. Looking back up at her, he's startled by the change in her presence, as if she was suddenly taking up more space.

It's gone before he can understand it though, leaving him to gape in bewilderment.

"Right. Got it," he says in a somewhat rattled tone of voice. "Uh, I actually...kinda can't now... With the vines."
