Gen was quick to step around and over Senku, blocking the path of more vicious mongoose ... mongeese? ... he'd check some dictionary later, to freeze them in their tracks with more ice.

There's nothing really amused about the smile that he gave Senku, all teeth. He had to ride on self-confidence and bravado and hope to any power listening that anything in this virtual reality didn't transfer to their real bodies.
