"Did you kill the animals that did it? Where did they go?"
"We don't-" she starts to respond, but the smaller kid points to the body of the chicken. Or rather, the lack of it. It's gone now.
"Hey! Where did it go?" he asks, and now there are several people sort of looking around for a non-existent zombie chicken. Because that arrow (wait, was that strange? That's starting to seem a little strange) went through that chicken completely.
Yondu turns his attention to Madoka then, finally going with her but speaking lowly. "I think we gotta get their brains on wonderin' what's happened to them animals what went wild on 'em. We oughta find out where they're keepin' the livestock."
