"Hey, we're gonna. These people need you. You're gonna do fine." He assures her because he feels like she needs it more than him. He feels pretty damn useless, but he's at least in here where he can keep Blue Team safe in the very off chance they can't handle that mess outside the wall, there being gods and such duking it out.

We'll go find us some people that'll be able to say there's somethin' real wrong with the animals, we'll help 'em see what's goin' on. People gonna be sad but I figure some of 'em might be real mad they got tricked... an' there's always gonna be a few that say 'well the truth is the trick' but there's nothin' we can do for those folks."

It sucks, but short of clubbing them over the head and making them leave they're not going to budge.
